No Connection can be made to the DentalWriter Server. This document will provide some of the steps and procedures for restarting SQL Server (DentalWriter) services from the DentalWriter Server.
Although, setup is automatic, there are times when those required services do not restart and would need to be manually performed from the server.
Common Error Message Received from Workstation: “A network-related or instance-specific error occurred”. The DentalWriter Server name is also listed here along with the machine where services need to be restarted.
Steps to restart the services.
1. From the DentalWriter Server, Right-Click the start button and select Run.
2. In the available txt filed, type: services.msc then select OK.
3. Once the services module opens, locate SQL SERVER (DentalWriter), and either Right-Click>Restart, or select the Start the service option.
4. Relaunch DentalWriter Icon from Desktop on Server confirm can open. Then do same on Workstation.
