Adding a fee or charge for commonly used CPT codes
Step 1: While in the claim, either double click on the line item in box 24 with it highlighted, or select the “Edit Service” icon.
Step 2: While in the procedure window, type in your charge in the box that says, “Charge Per Unit
Step 3: Now with your charge set, select save and close.
Note: You will be prompted to make that fee your default if you choose to do so. This will ensure that next time you had that particular procedure code to a claim, it will show with the default fee you have set up.
Now you will see your fee/charge on the claim. You can save and close at the top to save the changes to the current claim.
