Adding APEX as electronic claims provider

How to indicate in the DentalWriter software that you will be using the APEX clearinghouse for submitting medical claims electronically

1. Select the "Setup" Tab in the upper left on the main screen of DentalWriter

2. Select "Configuration Options":

3. In the "Configuration Options" window select the "General" tab in the upper left.

4. Select a Claim Service Provider from the drop down list:

        Select "NONE" for paper claims

        Select "APEX " if using electronic claims through clearinghouse
 5. Be sure to select "Save and Exit when finished.

PLEASE NOTE: Users must enroll through Nierman Practice Management (DentalWriter) and Apex prior for the electronic medical claims feature to function properly.
