Customize visits in DentalWriter Plus+ to add or change tabs and form sections within the visit. At the end this article there is a hands-on tutorial for you to practice.
*Important Note* It is recommended to customize in a TEST patient chart using a NEW visit. You can customize in a real patient chart, but please note if you add/remove/edit items in a form section and apply the customizations to that form, it will alter any data entered in that section. Also, please keep in mind that any customization or adding or removing form sections will affect that specific visit and any future visits for all patients. The changes are not retroactive.
To add and change order of Tabs and Form Sections:
1. Start by opening a test patient chart. Choose the Visits & Forms tab and then select the blue +NEW VISIT
2. Select the visit you wish to customize, then select the green CREATE button. Note: when customizing in a test chart, if the box in the lower left corner is selected to import data from a previous visit, click the box to remove the check mark.
3. Once the visit is open, select the ellipses (3 horizontal dots) next to the title of the visit. Then select the option Configure tabs and form sections.
4. Select Patient Questionnaire and/or Examination to expand and view the available tabs.
5. For this example, we are going to add a tab to the Patient Questionnaire. Click the +Add New Tab.
6. A text box will open, and you can type in the title of the new tab. During this example we are using "Berlin" for the Berlin Questionnaire. The next step is to add in the form section(s). You can add more than one if there are different sections you want within this tab. To add a new form section, select +New Form Section.
7. Another text box will appear. Add in your form section title here.
8. You can move the order of this tab as it will appear in the visit. To move it, you select the drag handle to the left of the checkmark and drag and drop the tab to the desired location. This can also be done in the same way to move form sections within the tab.
9. Be sure leave the Apply changes to the current patient form? box check marked in the lower left-hand corner if you want to see the changes immediately in this visit/form. Select the green SAVE button in the lower right-hand corner to see your changes. Please note you can change the name and order of any existing tabs and form sections within the visit too. To edit the name just select the tab/section you want to change and click the pencil button.
10. You can see the new Berlin tab has been added below. Click on the new tab to see the newly added form Section.
11. Below the form section Berlin has also been added under the new Berlin tab.
