How to correct a claim and resubmit it in DentalWriter Plus+

This article will go over correcting a claim and resubmitting it to the medical insurance company.

If you receive a denial or letter back from the medical insurance company stating there is something missing or invalid on the claim form and they want you to update the claim and resubmit it back you are able to do that in DentalWriter Plus+ without having to generate a new claim. 

You will want to go back into the claim in question and fix what it is they are asking you to fix. Once you have that fixed you then want to navigate to Box 22 and click on the drop down arrow. You will see 2 options to choose from: 7 Replacement of prior claim and 8 Void/cancel of prior claim. You will want to choose 7 Replacement of prior claim. If you know the original claim number you will want to add in the box labeled Original Ref. No.

Once you have that filled out navigate to Box 19 Additional Claim Information. In this box you will want to type in "Corrected Claim".

Once you have both box 19 and 22 filled out you can now resubmit the claim.
