How to Add a Patient Payment to the Ledger in DentalWriter Plus+

Step by Step Tutorial on how to Add a Patient Payment to the Ledger in DentalWriter Plus+

Navigate to the patient's ledger in the patient profile 

Click on ADD PAYMENTS

then select Patient Payment

Next, enter in the amount the patient is paying. In this example, the patient is paying $175 for their exam visit.

Select the drop down arrow under Payment Method to choose the form of payment. 

i.e. Cash, Credit Card, Check, Electronic Payment, Other.

If you have an invoice number from a receipt, you will document that information under

Payment Method Reference.

Important : DentalWriter will automatically apply the payment to the charges (CPT Codes). Always verify the patient payment was applied to the correct charge (CPT Code) before saving.

Once you have correctly documented the patient's payment, click on the green save button.

 

You have now successfully added a patient payment in the Ledger in Dental Writer Plus+.
