DentalWriter Plus + patient Miscellaneous Documents automatically opens the file even though download is selected from the ellipsis button.
This behavior is normal and by selecting the Download will download the file. However, settings in internet browser (Personal Settings) may be applied and by default will open without asking what to do with.
Each internet browser will provide you, the user, what to do once a file is downloaded depending on you have setup.
By selecting the file from Miscellaneous Documents (any type) ellipsis button under the patients record. Hover your mouse over document to activate and view, then select the download button.
The download occurs and saves to your computer. What occurs once the download has completed will be determined how your settings are applied for your internet browser. The Ask me what to do once download happens.
