Using Zoho Assist with a Mac User if they are using Safari

If an office is using Macs and are utilizing Safari as their way to access the internet this article will go over the steps to have the office download and run the Zoho Assist Customer Plugin.

Have the client navigate to niermanpm.com/support and have them enter the session ID you have generated for them and click the Connect button.

On the next page they will enter in the Session ID if it not already there and then click the “Download Customer Plugin”.

It will then download a file to their downloads, have them navigate to where that is on their computer and click on the Zoho Plugin folder.

Then they will look for the icon that looks like a Box and says ZohoPlugin.pkg. It could be located on the side or bottom of the screen, wherever they have their menu bar located.

They will click on the Box icon and the next screen that pops up is the Installer window.

They will follow the installation instructions. If their computers are password protected, they will need to know the password to get through the installation.

When the installation is just about done it will prompt them to join the remote support session again with the Session ID (which you may need to give to them again) and will have them enter the Dr’s name. Once they have entered that info they will click Join Session.

From there it will let them know they are joining a remote session, and they will need to click the Join button again.

They will then get the Installation was successful screen and they can click close. Once they click close, they will get a prompt asking them to allow the “installer” to access the files, they will click “Allow”.

Once they allow it will then ask them if they want to move the “Installer” to the Trash, they can click “Move to Trash”.

Once they do that the “Installation was successful” box will be on the screen, they can close that, and you now have access to their computer.

If they keep the Zoho Assist Customer Plugin on their computer, you will be able to login every time without having to download it again. If they delete it off, you will need to go through the whole process again.
